My name is Laura and I am a first time mummy to Rory. Rory entered the world on 6th August 2015 and since then life has been a whirlwind!
I started a blog last year, when Rory was only a teeny tiny 11 weeks old, however I suffered a bit of a crisis of confidence and thought that no one would want to read my random musings. I’m still not sure people will to be honest!! But for some reason over the last few weeks I keep having ideas of posts I’d like to write and things I’d like to ramble on about – so I thought I’d give it another go.
Rory is now nearly 8 months old and is changing every single day. Sometimes I am amazed at just how quickly he is learning and growing and I have to take a second just to absorb everything about him ar that very moment!
When I’m not writing here, looking after my little bear or taking photos I can be found teaching in a local primary school. When I head back after maternity, which is coming round much too quickly, I will be heading back to a class full of lovely 8 and 9 year olds. There are definite pros and cons to teaching and I’m sure I will end up discussing this in a future post, but as a whole I love spending my time teaching children and getting to know each individual character.
So that’s just a little bit about me and my little man. This blog will share with you my musings and thoughts on life as a first time mummy, its ups and downs and all our adventures along the way. I have a few other ideas of themes I’d like to develop on here but we will see how that one goes!
